1. My child is already learning English. How do your lessons and course textbooks fit with the syllabus he/she has been already using?
We offer lessons and courses for beginners and children with some foundation in English. What we do in our first lesson is to assess the level of the student and then offer the most suitable course. Our lessons are individually tailored for each student, and the teachers from Flagship English will be more than welcome to help you and your child with the books and course they are already familiar with. Language learning is an engaging and adaptable process with so many different pathways to reach the learning objectives.
2. What platforms are used to conduct the lessons and how are they delivered?
We recommend you to install Zoom on your devices, or any other similar video conferencing platform such as Skype. The lessons are conducted in a fun and captivating way in order to maintain the level of intensity your kid or teen needs to stay focused on the subject matter. Our teachers are young people with lots of teaching experience. They will know how to spark interest in children to use English and speak with confidence.
3. Why do you have 25 and 50-minute lesson packages?
For children and young teens, we recommend 25-minute sessions twice per week. Even though it looks like a short time period, many researchers and teacher have found that children can benefit a lot from the lessons of that length. If you think a 50 minute lesson is something that you would like to have for your young learner, our teachers are there for you.
4. What does an effective lesson look like from the student’s perspective?
We are all unique human beings and learn in our own specific ways. Some traits in learning are shared though. We like structure and a meaningful interaction. Our lessons will include a warm-up, review of previously taught material, an introduction to the new lesson, presentation of new material, plenty of opportunity to practice and use English for communicative purposes. One special ingredient should definitely not be neglected – the student’s smile. If learners are not happy to back to the classroom, no learning will ever take place.
5. Do you offer lessons for adults?
Our focus right now is on children and teens, but we are more than welcome to adult learners. We also offer family discounts and packages in case you want more than one family member to have English lessons with us.
6. How do we set our weekly/monthly timetable for our English lessons?
We work on regular timetable basis, which means you are encouraged to have 2 lessons per week at your desired time slots. Changes are of course possible, but you need to check your teacher’s availability hours for that matter.
7. What methods of payment is the most reliable?
